YOUNG FARMERS, Hong Kong
Through activities such as building a planter with recycled wood, setting up their own edible garden, farming & harvesting, pizza making using ingredients that they harvested themselves, a tour of a rooftop farm and a tour of an organic farm, students will learn how our food is produced and how our consumption patterns impact the environment.
They will explore simple ways by which we can contribute towards a more sustainable food system that takes into consideration our well-being as well as that of the environment. The activities proposed are hoping to raise awareness on food security and food waste issues in Hong Kong as well as on how to incorporate sustainability into our daily living. Leader: tbc
